POSITION VACANT – ENVIRONMENTAL LIAISON OFFICER

The Nature Conservation Council of NSW (NCC) is the peak conservation group for NSW, representing more than 100 community environment groups across the state.

NCC invites applications for the position of Environmental Liaison Officer (ELO), on behalf of the following organisations (‘ELO member groups’):

•    Nature Conservation Council of NSW;
•    National Parks Association of NSW;
•    The Wilderness Society;
•    Colong Foundation for Wilderness; and
•    Blue Mountains Conservation Society.

The role of the ELO is to promote and facilitate active collaboration between the ELO member groups. In addition to the ongoing responsibilities described below, the ELO will play a key role in coordinating joint advocacy in the lead-up to the NSW state election in March 2011.
 
The position is part-time (2 days/week) and is located at the NCC’s modern offices in Newtown.
