A non-profit organisation and registered charity, we rely on volunteers to assist us in our busy office located in central Sydney. Opportunities for voluntary work consist of helping both administrative and project staff with office support, campaign assistance or environmental research. The work would suit environmental science/studies student and graduates as well as people of all ages with relevant skills and an interest in environmental issues who can spare half/one day a week on a regular ongoing basis. Currently we have project officers working on climate change, marine environment, fisheries, freshwater, bushfire, native vegetation, urban sustainability, education and more. Browse our website for more campaign information. Volunteers usually work from 10 am - 4 pm. Part day shifts may also be available. Applicants need a good level of English - both spoken and written.

We are looking for a dedicated, hard-working and passionate team of interns to assist with promoting and coordinating our upcoming events, including Australia's biggest day of climate action, Walk Against Warming. This is an ideal opportunity for a media studies or event management student or recent graduate looking to gain hands-on experience.
NCC is pleased to offer four exciting internship opportunities from July to October 2010:
- Climate Change Intern – Walk Against Warming (Promotion)
- Climate Change Intern – Walk Against Warming (Coordination)
- Biodiversity Intern – International Year of Biodiversity (Coordination/ Promotion)
- Member Support Intern – NCC Annual Conference (Coordination).
The interns will be based at the NCC’s modern office in Newtown. The working hours for each internship are negotiable (3‐5 days/week).

Data Entry Volunteers Our fundraising, membership and project teams need regular volunteer help to data enter new records and amend existing records on our FileMaker Pro data base. This work is vital to maintaining, servicing and communicating with our many supporters, members and clients. If you like data entry work, have skills and experience in FileMaker Pro or other data bases and are confident and accurate with written English please contact us.
